** Announcing Café Musique’s new CD, Catching Your Breath ** Café Musique’s second CD, Catching Your Breath, starts softly with a dream and goes out with a vastly wild and adventurous gypsy tune that weaves in and out of a middle-eastern vision. You are then gently returned back to earth with what could be one of the most beautiful melodies you'll ever hear, “Sunday River”. The journey between takes the listener in a time capsule from Eddie Cantor’s 1920’s mega-hit Dinah to Canada’s unofficial national anthem, Hallelujah. Throw in a Venezuelan waltz that the band wasn’t sure where or how to end along with a number of original compositions and we think you too will be catching your breath. ** FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ** Kill date July 18 Who: Café Musique What: TWO CD Release Shows, Catching Your Breath * FIRST SHOW When: Saturday, July 10, 3 PM (doors open at 2:30) Where: Allied Arts Music Series, Theatre at the Old Grammar School (TOGS) 1350 Main St, Cambria Tickets: $15 – tickets in advance or at the door Contact: Allied Arts Gallery 927-8190 * SECOND SHOW When: Saturday, July 17, 7 PM (doors open at 6:00) Where: Castoro Cellars Winery 1315 N Bethel Rd, Templeton Tickets: $15 – online reservations at http://www.castorocellars.com/events and at the door Contact: Castoro Cellars 805.238.0725 Dinner and drink will be available at extra cost Press kits and photos at www.cafemusique.org * info@cafemusique.org * 805-748-3569 * They may hail from the central coast of California, but the members of Café Musique have at least one foot each planted deep in foreign soil. Merging of five very different musical backgrounds, the quintet concocts sets of music that range far and wide, from classical to swing music, from gypsy jazz to tango, with a few waltzes thrown in for good measure! Combining the beauty of the violin with the dynamic expression of the accordion, Café Musique adds compelling vocal harmonies to the mix of timeless standards and new compositions. The members of Café Musique are Brynn Albanese on violin and vocals, Piper Heisig on percussion and vocals, Duane Inglish on accordion, Fred Murray on bass, and Craig Nuttycombe on guitar and vocals. "The talent runs deep and the music plays hot, they had the staff of KPIG's live music show in the palm of their hands and the tips of their fingers. " --Sleepy John Sandidge, Host of KPIG's "Please Stand By"
